Leftover Sewing Fabric Scraps

Leftover Sewing Fabric
Leftover sewing fabric scraps accumulate rather quickly in your stash from sewing your own clothes and you don’t know what to do with it.  You don’t want to throw it out…what if you need it someday?  Personally, I used to save all my fabric scraps for my mother’s next quilt before she went to dance with the angels.  She made handmade quilts for everyone in our family; she was blessed with great patience.  I on the other hand, concentrated on sewing garments because I needed to see something more tangible in a shorter amount of time. So, I set aside all sizes of my leftover fabric scraps for her hand quilting.
I have discovered there are a variety of things that can be made with small pieces of sewing fabric in addition to quilting, especially machine quilting.  Here are a few examples of small projects you can do with your leftover fabric scraps and even some of the fabric you’ve been afraid to cut.  Or, you can always save them to practice and fine tune your  sewing skills before you actually start on your one-of-a-kind fashion garment.
